Your new ring is multi-color, mostly blue and green, with yellow flashes. It's top quality doublet Opal material. A thin slice of Opal (Boulder opal in this case) is adhered to a black backing (e.g. ironstone) and capped with a clear top, usually Quartz. By attaching the slice of opal to a black backing (Doublet), the Opal color becomes much darker and more vibrant. A triplet contains a clear quartz top to create a shinny appearance and protect the tinny sliced natural opal, as well as intensify the appearance.
