Canadian Ammolite 

Check out this 'Canadian Ammolite (3 ct., oval) & Tanzanite (~2 ctw. oval) Ring', size 7. Ammolite jewelry is a rare & unique treasure not generally stocked at your local retail jeweler.  Think of Ammolite as similar to the organic Opal gemstone, except that it is comprised of Ammonitesfossilized shells.  When Ammonites are made into jewelry, they are called Ammolite(s).

As background, Ammonites are made up of ancient species called Placenticeras Meeki & Placenticeras Intercalare. These creatures lived in the sea (e.g. southern part of Alberta, Canada in North America). When the creatures died, their shells were deposited into the sea floor: Over a period of 70 million years, thru pressure & mineralization, their shells were transformed into the lovely, multi-color spectrochromatic material called Ammonite.  These deposits reside deep in the Earth today. Due to erosion & naturally formed rivers, some fossils washed up to the surface, making them easier for rock hounds to retrieve & collect.  

Ammolite emits positive energy from the Earth, bringing those who wear Ammolite jewelry good luck and prosperity. Legend indicates that Ammolite can grant miracles and is a wonderful gemstone to include as part of one's mediation. Ammolite also brings good health, stamina and high energy to its owner.
